In a warm and festive atmosphere in December, Managing Director Raphael Sackmann, together with owners Martina & Michael Scheibel and the Emil Scheibel distillery team, bid farewell to two long-serving employees, Melitta Kimmig and Irmgard Roth, as they took their well-deserved retirement. In addition, Ulrike Hillbrecht was honored for her 25 years of service as part of the celebrations.
Kappelrodeck, 25.1.2024. Ulrike Hillbrecht, who has put her energy and passion at the service of Emil Scheibel distillery for a quarter of a century, was honored with special recognition in December 2023. As a long-standing employee in the shipping department of the family business, she ensures that the fine spirits reach customers safely and intact every day. "250-300 deliveries per day are not uncommon, especially before Christmas," emphasized Managing Director Raphael Sackmann. "That's an impressive - and physical - feat. Keeping an overview of the stock levels and ensuring order and a smooth process is extremely important. Thank you for your tireless and energetic commitment as well as your organizational talent and stamina in hectic times," he added in his speech.
The company also bid farewell to two long-standing employees, who took their well-deserved retirement at the turn of the year. Irmgard Roth worked for the company for an impressive 33 years in the packaging department. She was characterized by her versatility and reliability. "Many gift items and other high-quality specialties were carefully finished by you by hand and packed in the fine gift boxes. The top quality of the products was always very important to you," emphasized Managing Director Sackmann. He added: "You were always flexible and never shied away from a task. It was a matter of course for you to change positions within the department, a kind of change of perspective. We would like to thank you for this and much more."
Melitta Kimmig was also bid farewell to her retirement with festive and heartfelt words. It was the second time for her, as Kimmig had already officially retired at the end of 2010. "After many years of responsible work in our bottling and packaging department, you agreed to take on a temporary position in our salesroom when you retired," recalled Raphael Sackmann. "And when I spoke to her a few days ago about her second retirement, she actually said: 'Well, if you need me again, just give me a call. One thing is for sure, our regular customers will miss you as well as us. We have all enjoyed working with you as a team for so many years. We wish you all the best, happiness, health and an enjoyable time in the time ahead."
The tribute and farewell ceremony took place at the Scheibel distillery Christmas party in December. Colleagues, the management and the owner family, represented by Martina and Michael Scheibel, were present. The cozy ambience of the Scheibel Whisky Mill provided the perfect setting for this special evening, which expressed appreciation for the many years of loyalty and outstanding performance of these employees.
