Menu recommendations

Fine brandies are a classic way to round off a meal, while liqueurs or spirits can sometimes make it onto the menu as an aperitif. But a brandy can do so much more! That's why our products can and should be served as more than just a digestif or aperitif. The wide variety of flavors makes them the perfect accompaniment to a meal. You can find inspiration in our menu recommendations or simply get creative yourself. If you stick to a few basic principles, you will quickly find the right accompaniment:

  • General rules from the world of wine provide an initial orientation when choosing a brandy.
  • Dark meat such as game needs dark fruit (cherries or plums), light meat such as poultry goes perfectly with light fruit (quinces, apricots or mirabelle plums).
  • What applies to the tried and tested interplay of flavors on a plate also applies to the combination with fine brandies. Cherry goes wonderfully with chocolate, quince is excellent with asparagus or plum with game.
  • Pick out a single ingredient from your dish that you would like to emphasize with the brandy. For example, we recommend a raspberry brandy for a salad with raspberry dressing and our Edles Fass 350 Nussler for dishes with nuts.
  • Create contrasts by introducing new flavors or replacing ingredients with the brandy. For example, combine PREMIUMplus Feine Marille with a strong cheese or PREMIUMplus Gold-Willi with a chocolate and walnut flan.

Or the easiest way: experiment freely with the flavors!
