Burnt in Germany
After more than 28 years, Emil Scheibel distillery said goodbye to one of its longest-serving employees last week. With her commitment, expertise and positive charisma, Cornelia Krumm has made a lasting impression on the working environment and has become an indispensable part of the Scheibel family. And for her, too, the company was far more than just a workplace - it became her "second family".
A quarter of a century of commitment and reliability
Cornelia Krumm - affectionately known as "Conny" by everyone - officially started working in the family business on July 1, 1999, having previously assisted on an hourly basis. From the very beginning, her work was characterized by commitment and reliability, and over the years her experience was added to this. "Whether wrapping gifts, in the packing room or on the production line: she was always there where she was needed," summarizes Managing Director Raphael Sackmann.
"Regardless of whether the machines were jamming, bottles were missing or the schedule was tight, she always had a calm manner and a keen sense of quality," emphasizes Owner Michael Scheibel. It is precisely this quality awareness that has contributed significantly to the distillery 's products being what they are: high-quality, handcrafted and perfect.
Looking back, the long-standing employee particularly remembers the many changes she has witnessed at Scheibel. She always appreciated the continuous investment in modern technology. For her, the replacement of the old glue labeler with a new model was a symbol of how much the company pays attention to keeping up with the times.
A colleague who leaves her mark
Managing Director Raphael Sackmann also paid tribute to the valued employee: her retirement was already a foregone conclusion when she was honored for her 25th anniversary with the company. "We enjoyed working with her so much that saying goodbye today seems almost unreal," explained Sackmann. Over the years, Conny had become a firm pillar of the company and a colleague whose team spirit and helpfulness had won many hearts.
She was officially bid farewell by the team during a small celebration with all employees, canapés and a glass in hand. This moment was also noticeably emotional for her colleagues - after all, after more than a quarter of a century, she was "practically part of the inventory".
When Cornelia Krumm herself looks back on her time at Scheibel, she doesn't just talk about the machines and production lines, but above all about the people. "Scheibel was like a second family to me," she says. She particularly remembers the joint excursions and parties - little breaks that interrupted the often hectic daily routine and strengthened the sense of togetherness.
A farewell with appreciation
On her departure, both Managing Director Raphael Sackmann and Owner Michael and Martina Scheibel thanked her for her decades of loyalty and tireless commitment. They paid tribute to her loyalty, her patience and the positive energy with which she enriched the working environment day after day.
The new pensioner is also optimistic about the future. She hopes that Scheibel will continue on its successful path and that "such great products will continue to be created and that the team spirit will remain". For herself, she is primarily planning to spend time with her family - "which will certainly keep me on my toes," she adds with a smile.
